Tips to Make Your Visit a
Success!...
We want you and your students to have the best time
possible and enjoy the day with us. In order to help you get
the most out of your day, please take a moment to review these
tips to make your tour a success.
| Before
You Tour... |
1.
|
Carefully check your confirmation, arrival procedures,
payment procedures and meal times. If you find any
discrepancies please call our reservations office right
away. |
2.
|
Check out all the information available on this website and
download a copy of our education materials and curriculum
standards. This will help you learn more about the Historic
Village, the history of Northwest Ohio and the time period
we cover (and how it relates to what you
are doing in your classroom!). |
3.
|
Prepare your students to visit the Village. Not every
student has had the opportunity to visit a museum. Explain
what they will be seeing and what you expect from them. |
4.
|
Visit ahead of time. We would love to have you visit the
Village prior to your field trip AND if you call us in
advance and tell us when you are coming, we will have ONE
FREE adult admission ticket waiting at the admission's desk
for you. |
5.
|
PREPARE your adult supervisors. Let them know what their
responsibilities are. Give them a copy of the supervising
adult guideline information found on our website. Your
supervising adults will be a key factor in the success of
your trip. |
6.
|
Complete the Payment form and bring it with you along
with payment in ONE lump sum.
|
The Day You Tour...
1. Ask
questions! If there is something you do not understand,
something you wish you knew or that we can do for you,
please do not hesitate to ask us!
2.
Enjoy the field trip along with your students. If they see
that you are interested and excited about the trip, they
will be too! |
| After
You Tour...
1.
Follow-up with activities, stories, questions, games and
other lesson tools to complete the trip. This helps
students of any age digest, make sense of and retain what
they have seen and learned.
2.
Investigate what else we have to offer. Sauder Village
offers many programs, classes and special activities for
students and adults as part of our continuing educational
programs. |
