This elegant, simple beauty is
guaranteed to make even the most skeptical of piecers adept
at making compass blocks. The success comes from the
simplicity of having only 8 points in a 16" diameter
compass, set into an 18" background. All you need to be
successful is to be comfortable with an accurate
quarter-inch seam allowance!

Another great scrap quilt!
Students will trade fabric in this workshop, then learn a
very slick, efficient, organized method of cutting and
piecing triangles to create a variety of different blocks.
There are eight different blocks to select from, or you can
design your own. Even when the blocks are made, you have
unlimited possibilities for how you ultimately sew them
together into a quilt. Even quilters who have been
previously intimidated by triangles find this workshop fun
and freeing.

Sharyn's favorite part of the
entire quilt making process is when she finally has enough
blocks that she gets to go to the flannel wall and design a
quilt. Let her enthusiasm and encouragement help you to find
the perfect setting for your blocks. No problem is too big
or too small. Bring your blocks and come be prepared to have
fun.
In this one day workshop,
there will be no sewing, but lots of thought provoking,
inspiration and problem solving. This workshop replaces two
earlier workshops, Setting Solutions and Great
Sets. It combines the best parts of each into this one
great class.
