Workshop Registration... Don't miss the variety of exciting workshops taught by guest teacher, Sharyn Craig. Class sizes are limited, so be sure to register early! All workshops are held at the Sauder Heritage Inn Homestead room.

  • Confirmation & Kit fees... A confirmation and supply list will be mailed to you to confirm your class registration after receipt of your registration and class fees. If required, any supply/kit fees are in addition to the class fee and are payable to the teacher at the start of the class. Unless otherwise noted, bring all basic sewing supplies.

  • Stay on-site... With your Workshop confirmation, you will be given instructions for making a lodging reservation at the Sauder Heritage Inn or the Sauder Village Campground. All Workshop participants are responsible to make your own lodging reservations at Sauder Village, using a Booking ID # and Confirmation # that will be given to you with your class confirmation. These numbers will give you priority to make a reservation from a block of rooms and campsites being held for confirmed students, available on a first-come basis until March 28, 2008.

This elegant, simple beauty is guaranteed to make even the most skeptical of piecers adept at making compass blocks. The success comes from the simplicity of having only 8 points in a 16" diameter compass, set into an 18" background. All you need to be successful is to be comfortable with an accurate quarter-inch seam allowance!

Another great scrap quilt! Students will trade fabric in this workshop, then learn a very slick, efficient, organized method of cutting and piecing triangles to create a variety of different blocks. There are eight different blocks to select from, or you can design your own. Even when the blocks are made, you have unlimited possibilities for how you ultimately sew them together into a quilt. Even quilters who have been previously intimidated by triangles find this workshop fun and freeing.

Skill Level:
Intermediate to Advanced
Class Fee:
$75.00 / Members $68.00
Class Size: Minimum 10 / Maximum 20

Sharyn's favorite part of the entire quilt making process is when she finally has enough blocks that she gets to go to the flannel wall and design a quilt. Let her enthusiasm and encouragement help you to find the perfect setting for your blocks. No problem is too big or too small. Bring your blocks and come be prepared to have fun.

In this one day workshop, there will be no sewing, but lots of thought provoking, inspiration and problem solving. This workshop replaces two earlier workshops, Setting Solutions and Great Sets. It combines the best parts of each into this one great class.
